dormancy broken

moving up through the ground
dancing to the sounds, at the surface
(slip your hands in leaves
feel for memories)
cicada seed coats break down
footsteps above, have you heard us
(dampen this debris
come connect to me)
limbs swaying in the breeze
this nodding canopy, lessens disbelief
listen to the rain all day
rain all day
the streams inside of you
it all breaks with no sound
a thousand pieces with one purpose
(turning in the leaves, do as you please)
a seed can sit in the ground
7 years no disturbance
(lifted up to see, what you've come to be)
threads of light, they break
through the soil from it life we take
underneath the sun all day
sun all day
the light from me to you
sun all day, sun all day
shade all day, shade all day
dancing in the light all day

Gloria... lifted what I found
Uprooted trees.... that she lies down
The fissured skin of fertile beasts
they had flowered, leafed.. and spread their seeds
their Tender tips, she bends... to me
Exhales a breath, and lifts the sound
Crest the strand, spills out the mouth
whisper through these gentle blades
Plans for shelter...... we will make
Chorus
(That's where our days begin)
Reach in the mouth and spill out the sound
Uproot the trees that she lies down
(Finds a way to lift us out)
roots yellow and green, take in the stream
animals sleep that we never see
The fissured skin of fertile beasts
Gloria.... lifting from the shade
receive the light, our open hands
Carried through..... then fly away
Eyelids collapse.... new light begins
Gloria... lifted what I found
Exhales her breath, all life she corrals

sleigher

he keeps stumbling after
words he could never capture
blurred and furnished (on his tongue)
welcomed with the lightest sigh
Heavy breath scatters his memoirs
desk ate his pen and his kindred
curse the clock (it took its time)
puzzled pieces, left to align
words fall......hearing laughter
looks around a crowded room
slowing forming his unfinished ideas
all his senses dulled away
acceptance speech to dark hallways
echoed through his great estate
weighed his head on a bathroom scale
left his joy to his will

quiet sounds

|

the city reaches in lifting my eyes
the streetlight exchanges fade in
hollow buildings used, whitest pedals bruised
blowing away
collapse the bridges, nowhere to go
fallen down, they faded away
april showers blowing down the flowers
lifting away
morning lights lift my eyes
split the treetops from the skies
gone with the wind
let in the outside
the city reaches in lifting my eyes
the streetlight exchanges fade in
april showers blowing down the flowers
fading away

tunnels
04:50
|
|||
from a narrow place, we clung to the sides
but left in a breath, from the light outside
coated in a salty breeze
eyes narrow to a steely sky
thoughts get life when thoughts they breath
erode them in a flowing tide
an heir of a sigh, we breath it in
an heir of a sigh, we breath it in
captured in a grain of time, we wring it dry
left to echo in tunnels
taking in views from a pinholed womb
surprised by its unchanging
light, we bleed it dry and leave it to die
coat the walls of tunnels
beauty will often stain
spills out while taken in
the inner light will always fade
when outer light comes back again
an heir of a sigh, we breath it in
an heir of a sigh, we breath it in
a gentle take, like the shore from the tide,
the lightest breath, given back to the sky
